Prayer: Heavenly Father, today would You strengthen and encourage us through Your Holy Spirit to be bold in our faith? Thank You. Amen
Scripture: The disciples were meeting behind locked doors because they were afraid of the Jewish leaders. Suddenly, Jesus was standing there among them! John 20:19 NLT
How open are we about our faith? There are many in the world’s decision-making circles who would have us be utterly silent about it. But, to be sure, there must be more to our faith expression than mere words.
People need to see hope with the world going the way it is. Can they see hope in you? If they can see Christ in you, then they may see hope.
Are you willing to be the light for someone else to see by and find their path through the darkness to the Lord? Which leaders do we fear so much that we hide the light of our Christian faith under a covering? Why are we afraid to let others know we follow the one true God? Is it because there may be a consistency problem with such a proclamation and our daily walk in their midst? God can fix that. Let Him make you a light to all those needing Christ today.
“…lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. Be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other’s faults because of your love. Always keep yourselves united with the Holy Spirit and bind yourselves together with peace.” Eph. 4:1-3
