COURAGE

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6, NIV

When we were kids, we didn’t think our teachers were capable of being afraid. But now that we are teachers, administrators, and paraprofessionals, we know this isn’t true.

If you are feeling afraid today, I want to encourage you to be strong and of good courage because we serve a mighty God Who goes before us in our classrooms, hallways, and all areas of our schools. I also encourage you to find a colleague who will come alongside you and agree with this promise if you ever feel afraid.

Father, I pray that in the midst of my fear, I will stand courageous because I am so rooted in the reality of who You are. Help me surrender my fears and trust that You are with me and that You are giving me Your courage. Amen.
