Christian Educators is pleased to offer the Ray Gene and Joanne Thiesen Scholarship for Educators. Before he passed in 2017, Ray Thiesen was an educator who dedicated his life to seeing God’s love and truth transform our public K-12 schools. Ray and Joanne’s generosity, as well as matching funds provided by Christian Educators members and donors, allows us to provide scholarship awards to promising candidates who desire to carry on Ray’s legacy.

Qualified candidates must meet the following criteria
- Possess a serious commitment to walk out his or her Christian faith in intentionally missional and legally appropriate ways throughout his or her educational career.
- Agree with the Christian Educators' Statement of Faith, and demonstrate evidence of an on-going transformative and personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Enrolled or accepted and planning to enroll as a full-time student in a university teacher training program (toward a B.A. with credential or M.A.) for the coming school year.
- A Member with Coverage (includes Student Members) of Christian Educators, or attending a Christian Educators-affiliated university. For a list of Christian Educators-affiliated universities, Click Here
- An incoming junior or senior for the coming school year, or graduate student.
- Currently hold or intend to pursue a full-time certificated position in a U.S. K-12 public school.
