Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18, NKJV
There is no substitute for prayer. We need time together and alone to talk to our Heavenly Father. Good communication is important with Him just as it is in any other relationship. And the truth is, God is always right beside you, just waiting to listen to you. You don’t need a long, fancy prayer. You can praise Him, thank Him, call out for help, and talk to Him like you would with your best friend standing right next to you…because He is. This is how we “pray without ceasing.”
How has prayer made a difference in your life? Have your prayers made a difference in someone else’s life? How can each of us carry out the attribute of being prayerful in our daily lives?
Dear Lord, we lift up the See You at the Pole prayer movement at schools across our nation today. May Your wonderful name be honored by Your people and in the media. Please bring students and teachers to know You. Thank You. Amen.
