He gives power to the weak and strength to the powerless. Isaiah 40:29, NLT
Lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Holy Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace. Ephesians 4:1-3, NLT
Even though today is merely the beginning of our work week, I often hear some colleagues mention how “tired” they already feel. But many times, “tired” is more than inadequate sleep or rest. “Tired” can be an attitude.
Truthfully, a tired attitude is not fun to be around—and it’s not God’s desire for us either. Instead, God wants to fill us with His nature, which is energizing, restorative, and healing. Not only does His nature empower us from within and strengthen us in all things, but His nature within us empowers and quickens those with whom we come into contact.
Ask the Lord to make today a restorative and quickening day for you and for all those whose lives you will touch. Receive His peace. Be a channel for His grace. Be impacted by His love and impact others with it too.
We need You today, Oh Lord. Please be with us.
