My eyes stay open through the watches of the night, that I may meditate on your promises. Psalm 119:148, NIV
Many times, when someone hears the word “meditation,” they think of yoga. But for Christians, meditation is far more than a yoga position—it is an opportunity to meditate on God’s Word, drink it in, and ask the Holy Spirit to teach us and show us the way. Meditating on the promises of God in Scripture is a great way to slow down, ponder His greatness and mercy, and ask Him for help.
Most of us have experienced restless nights or times when we just can’t sleep—maybe you are in one of those seasons now. If so, I want to encourage you to turn your sleepless night into an opportunity to meditate on His Word. If your mind is full of anxieties about tomorrow, meditate on His promises. He is faithful and steadfast, merciful and gracious to help you sleep and show you the way for tomorrow. Fear not, dear Christian educator, you serve a mighty God.
Lord, in times of stress, sleeplessness, and fear, teach me to meditate on Your promises of faithfulness, love, and hope. Thank you for Your perfect grace. Amen.

Dear Karen,
Your words of knowledge and words of wisdom through our Lord Jesus Christ always seem to come at the right moment. Even as a retired teacher, but still sharing the Gospel where and whenever He leads me, you are an encouragement.
Have a very blessed Thanksgiving and Christmas.
