Prayer: Lord, in times of stress, sleeplessness, and fear, teach me to meditate on your promises of faithfulness, love, and hope. Thank you for your perfect grace. Amen
Scripture: My eyes stay open through the watches of the night, that I may meditate on your promises. Psalm 119:148 NIV
Meditation to a Christian is far different than a yoga position. When we meditate on God’s Word we drink it in, we ask the Holy Spirit to teach us and show us the way. We read the Word to learn and to be inspired. The promises of God are a great way to slow down, ponder His greatness and mercy and ask Him for help. Many times we can be restless at night or just can’t sleep. Turn the sleeplessness into an opportunity to meditate on His Word. If your mind is full of anxieties about tomorrow, meditate on His promises. He is faithful and steadfast, merciful and gracious to not only help you sleep, but to show you the way for tomorrow. Fear not, dear Christian educator, you serve a mighty God.
Quote for the Day: If you always put limits on everything you do, physical or anything else, it will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits, only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them. Bruce Lee
