Because of Jesus Christ, we no longer have to live as slaves to fear or to sin. Through His death and resurrection, He broke the power of death and defeated the old sinful nature that once held us captive. In Christ, we have been set free.
That freedom changes the way we live each day. We can face the future with confidence, knowing that we have eternal life and that nothing can touch us apart from God’s loving will and sovereign plan. We no longer have to be controlled by fear or by the selfish desires that so often pull us away from Him. Instead, we can walk in the peace, joy, and victory that Christ has already won for us.
Today, choose to live in the freedom Jesus purchased for you. When fear whispers, or temptation knocks, remember that they no longer have authority over your life. Through the power of Christ, you have been given everything you need to stand firm. May today be marked by His peace, His strength, and His victory in all you do.
Jesus, I thank You for eternal life and the freedom over the power of death that Your blood has purchased for me. Help me to say “no” when fear and sin knock at my door. In Your holy Name, Amen.
