IN PERFECT PEACE

Prayer: Dear Father, thank You for Your perfect peace in a busy world. Help us to find rest today. Amen

Scripture: “You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” Isaiah 26:3 NIV

As teachers, we enter our busy classrooms with students who are distracted by technology or friends. How does one find peace in this busy world? Peace is not a skill natural to individuals or our culture which thrives on being busy and telling others how busy we are. Timothy reminds us that if our minds are set on the Lord, He will keep us in perfect peace. We know that peace is important to the Lord because he mentions it again in the New Testament through Paul.

Philippians 4:7 says, “And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Peace does not come naturally; it has to come through trusting the Lord with every situation. Simple actions like taking a deep breath or listening to an encouraging song can remind us today to find our peace in the Lord.

  1. I don’t think 1 Timothy 4:10 is the correct scripture reference. The quote was great, but what is the correct scripture reference?

    Thank you!
