Your word, Lord, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens.” Psalm 119:89, NIV
If there’s one habit worth building into your daily rhythm, it’s spending time in God’s Word.
As educators, our days are often full before the first bell even rings. But carving out intentional time for Scripture, whether it’s waking up 15 minutes earlier or listening to the Bible on your commute, can ground you in the Truth and anchor your heart and mind for whatever the day brings.
God’s Word is more than encouragement; it’s essential.
It reminds us of who we are, re-centers us when emotions run high, and gives us the wisdom we desperately need to lead well. His truth doesn’t shift with culture or circumstances. It “stands firm in the heavens,” unchanged and unshaken.
And here’s the promise: when you make space for the Word, it won’t return empty. It will bless your classroom. It will shape your conversations. It will deepen your impact not just on students, but on your colleagues, too.
Father, thank You for Your firm and eternal Word. I pray that You will speak to me through Your Word today. Amen.
