Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of His might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:10-12, ESV
Teaching is hard.
Our spiritual battles appear in various forms—self-doubt, unfair evaluations, hurtful gossip, accusatory emails/phone calls—the list goes on and on. But whatever the spiritual battle may be, it is not too hard for God. This is why we must don God’s armor every time we go out into the world. Armed with the belt of truth, the breastplate of righteousness, the gospel of peace, the shield of faith, the helmet of salvation, the sword of the Spirit, and prayer, we can glorify God—even during spiritual battles.
Dear God, thank You for equipping us with Your armor so we may do Your work in a turbulent world. May each spiritual battle lead us closer to You and help us grow in faith. In Jesus’s Name, Amen.
