Moreover, when God gives someone wealth and possessions, and the ability to enjoy them, to accept their lot and be happy in their toil—this is a gift of God. They seldom reflect on the days of their life, because God keeps them occupied with gladness of heart. Ecclesiastes 5:19-20, NIV
When I read that verse one cool fall morning, I had to go back and reread it slowly. I had to soak in the words. And when I did, I felt so much joy.
I love my job and know, without a doubt, that it is my ministry and a gift from God.
I hope you, dear educators, love your job and know without a doubt that it’s a gift from God. I hope you realize that God has given you your ministry for a purpose. God placed you there, at that school, in that room, and surrounded by little faces eager (sometimes) to hear what you have to say.
Today, I encourage you to thank Him for it.
Dear Jesus, I am so thankful for You. Thank You for putting me in the role of ministering to children, and I pray they can see YOU in my life. Help me be a blessing around my co-workers and family. Thank You for loving me and placing me in others’ lives so I can glorify You. Help me as I minister to those around me. In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
