CARRY HIS FIRE

For our “God is a consuming fire.” Hebrews 12:29, NIV

When God ignites a fire in us, it’s not just for our own personal revival. It’s also for those around us in the places where He’s called us. And as educators, this is our classroom.

I want to share a powerful image that God gave me recently about fire. He showed me that fires need oxygen to reach their flash point—a moment when the fire consumes everything in its path. Without oxygen, the fire cannot spread. And just as fire needs oxygen, our revival—our spiritual fire—needs God’s breath to sustain and spread.

When he gave me this image, He said to me, “I’m the oxygen. My breath is the fuel.”

His Holy Spirit fuels the fire in us. If we want our classrooms to reach flash point—to be consumed by the Holy fire that awakens hearts and revives hope—we must allow His breath to flow freely through us.

This year, don’t just teach—invite the Holy Spirit to set you aflame, and burn. Carry the fire of God’s presence. Let your prayers rise over every desk, every student, and every hallway. You were not placed in your school by accident. You are a carrier of His fire!

Father God, breathe Your oxygen into every corner of my classroom, building, cafeteria, music room, gym, technology lab, art room, counseling office, and playground. Let Your fire consume fear, anxiety, depression, apathy, and burnout. Make me a carrier of Your Holy Spirit—set apart to set ablaze and spark revival. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
