I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:16-19, NIV
Paul’s prayer is a powerful one, and today, I lift it up on your behalf as you read these words. Whatever you may be facing, know this: God has exactly what you need. He offers a mighty inner strength that enables you to stand firm in the love and grace of Christ.
As Christ becomes more and more “at home” in your heart day by day, life begins to change. Even in the midst of trials and challenges, your j oy deepens and your peace grows sweeter. Slowly, almost imperceptibly at first, you begin to catch glimpses—small but profound—of the vastness of God’s love. However great you imagine it to be, it is greater still, infinitely beyond measure.
And as these glimpses begin to take root, something beautiful happens: life within you expands. You begin to experience a growing power to live in God’s love, share His peace, and reflect His joy. This is the abundant life Christ came to give us. And yet, it is only a foretaste of the glory to come, when we will reign with Him in eternity.
May the Spirit of God bring these truths alive in you today, fulfilling every promise found in His Word.
Let us be in awe of You, O Lord, today. You are so much bigger than our difficulties, and may we remember to praise and adore You. Amen.
