David’s words in Psalm 63 reveal a deep longing for God—a desire that reaches beyond simply knowing about Him to truly seeking His presence.
Have you intentionally sought God today? Before you move through the rest of your plans and responsibilities, I encourage you to pause and turn your attention to Him. Invite the Holy Spirit into your thoughts, decisions, conversations, and plans. Ask Him to guide you and help you seek His will above your own.
If you have placed your faith in Jesus Christ, you do not have to search for God as though He were distant or unreachable. He is with you. His Spirit dwells within you. The invitation is simply to slow down, turn your attention toward Him, and attend to His presence.
Perhaps your spiritual life feels more like the parched and weary land David describes. Maybe you have been running on empty, distracted by the demands of life, or trying to satisfy a deeper thirst with things that can never truly satisfy. If so, today is an opportunity to turn again to Christ—the Living Water who alone can satisfy your soul.
May you experience the nearness of God today and discover that He is more than enough to satisfy your thirsty soul.
We declare openly that we need You today and this week, O Lord. Please fill our hearts with living water and life abundantly from You. Thank You. Amen.

Thank you for this encouragement. I have found that immersing my heart and mind in the truth of Psalm 23 early every morning increases my awareness and thankfulness of the Good Shepherd’s presence in and around me throughout the rest of the day.

For several reasons, I have found myself in a state of being parched and thirsty. Thank you for this reminder to pause and spend time with the Lord, trusting that He is with me even when I can’t sense His presence or understand His ways.
