Prayer: Dear Merciful Savior, thank you for sharing with us the greatest gift of all, love. Give us a heart to share with others the good news of Jesus Christ’s sacrifice and love toward us. Amen
Scripture: “And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased” Hebrews 13:16 NIV
Little children will struggle to find a heart to share toys with others, but sharing can even be a challenge for adults. The Lord explains in today’s verse that sharing and doing good to others is pleasing to God. But there is a sacrifice that must happen to make this work. A sharing heart does not come naturally. It can be tempting to withhold an idea or an item from another person. Luke 6:38 says, “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.” Sharing with another teacher about an idea for classroom management could be life changing for the students and the teacher, but it starts with a willing heart. Seek out an opportunity to share with those around you today!
