THE STORM

The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears And delivers them out of all their troubles. Psalm 34:17, NKJV

Right now, education seems to be a storm on all fronts. Good teachers know how to teach. Yet, we are weighed down and frustrated by all the testing, curriculum guidelines, new legislation, ability levels, emotional problems, parents, administrators, complaints, etc.

Some days, it feels like we are Dorthy from The Wizard of Oz, and we are in the middle of an educational tornado spinning us out of control. Thoughts of our careers swirl around us in the windows of our minds. Like Dorothy, we see both the good and the bad and the joy and the pain. And we wonder when the storm will stop.

But thankfully, for us as Christians, we do not have to depend on television magic to rescue us like Dorothy. Instead, we have a God that hears us when we cry out to Him.

See, when we cry out to God, He will place before us a solution. It may be in the form of an action statement. It may be a resounding peace. Or it may be Him leaving the solution up to us. Either way, God will lead and guide us through it. We have to only ask and listen.

Father, Thank you for Your Word. We ask that You help us navigate the storms of this career. Give us guidance and clarity. Amen.
