SUCH GREAT JOY

What joy for those whose record the LORD has cleared of sin, whose lives are lived in complete honesty! Psalm 32:2, NLT

When I really pause to think about this and other passages like this, I’m amazed.

God has overlooked my self-centered nature, cleared my record, cleansed my mind and heart, entered into a joint spiritual existence with me, and made me in His image! He does more than just look the other way at my failures. He makes them as if they never happened and teaches me how to avoid those kinds of choices in the future. He sees us as pure and spotless! Wow! If anything fits the use of the word awesome, it’s this!

I pray your day is filled with amazement as you recall the great salvation you have freely received from God through our Lord, Jesus Christ!

We thank You, Lord, for the joy of Your coming to save us forever to be with You. Please guide us to speak of the reason for our joy that the Good News will be acceptable to a co-worker or student this year. Amen.
