He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in him. Blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord, who does not look to the proud, to those who turn aside to false gods. Many, Lord my God, are the wonders you have done, the things you planned for us. None can compare with you; were I to speak and tell of your deeds, they would be too many to declare. Sacrifice and offering you did not desire—but my ears you have opened—burnt offerings and sin offerings you did not require. Then I said, “Here I am, I have come—it is written about me in the scroll. I desire to do your will, my God; your law is within my heart.” Psalm 40: 3-8, NIV
When I look back at my career and personal life, it’s amazing to see the wonders God has done for me and my family. I may not have realized it at the time, but now I see how God has had a hand in everything. When I just let go and let God do His will, everything turns out in His favor.
All-knowing Father in Heaven, You have known everything about me even before I was born. I am made in the image of You, Lord. Help me to follow Your path, even if I do not understand where it is leading me. Help me to loosen my grip of control over my life. Let me let go and have faith that You are in control, and through my actions, I can help further Your Kingdom. Write your laws within our hearts this week, Lord. In all of this, I ask in Your name. Amen.
