PATIENCE

Prayer: Lord, Thank You for Your ever present patience. Show me how to rest in and wait on who You are, rather than rushing on ahead of You. Teach me how to be patient with my students like You are patient with me.

Scripture: Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. Psalm 27:14 NIV

Isn’t it just like us to want to rush God? We pray for a few days and don’t think He’s listening or doesn’t have time for us? Or we rush away the days, weeks and whole school year to get to summer. The Lord is patient and does not work according to our calendars and schedules. Learning to wait on the Lord is one of the hardest things to do, but it has great rewards.

Every time we ask our students to be patient when they don’t understand why they have to study something, think of your own desires that seem to be taking forever. He is steadfast and immovable and ever abounding in love for you in His time and way.
