The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, And He delights in his way. Psalm 37:23, NKJV
Every morning, teachers face another day full of interruptions. We have papers to grade, classes to teach, lesson plans to create, and we know, before we even step into our classrooms, that we won’t be able to finish one thing without interruptions! Perhaps it is a phone call from a parent, an administrator looming in the doorway, or another teacher asking how to fill out paperwork for a student who is having a conflict with another student.
The Bible says in Psalm 37:23 that the steps of a good man (teacher) are ordered by the Lord.
I love that Scripture. It tells me that I don’t have to worry about being in the right place at the right time! If my steps are ordered by the Lord, it means that God Himself is taking my feet and putting one foot in front of the other.
It also means that God orders the steps of other people in my life as well. So, the principal will talk to me at the right time, the phone will ring at the right time, and the students will come to me at the right time.
Lord, order my steps today! Not just mine, but the steps of every person I come in contact with today! Help me relax knowing that You do order my steps! Thank You. Amen.
