LOVING EYE

Prayer: Father, I thank You that You faithfully guide and teach me as I seek to become more like You. Help me to guide and teach my students in the same way. Amen

Scripture: I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with My loving eye on you. Psalm 32:8 NIV

The Lord’s loving eye is upon us each and every day, each and every moment. In a classroom, we are a loving eye guiding and instructing our students in the way that they should go. It reminds me of the myth of teachers having eyes behind their heads. That kind of “with-it-ness” is a gift. When it comes from love, the students are able to trust us because they know we have their best interests at heart. What a privilege it is to know that our God has the Ultimate With-it- ness as He counsels, instructs, teaches, and advises us in the way that we should go. This promise is an incredible model for us to emulate for the love of our students.

Quote for the Day: Not all of us can do great things. But we can do small things with great love. Mother Teresa
