LEANING INTO GOD’S FAITHFULNESS

Praise the Lord, all nations!
Glorify him, all peoples!
For his faithful love to us is great;
the Lord’s faithfulness endures forever.
Hallelujah! Psalm 117:1-2, CSB

It seems like we are living in a world where anything goes, doesn’t it?

As a result, many of the new agendas and policies making their way into public education are creating a lot of chaos and confusion. As a Christian educator, when the noise surrounding me starts to get too loud, I’ve learned to lean into the Lord and listen to His voice. I will often ask Him to show me the aspects of His character I need to focus on the most. Recently, He has encouraged me to focus on His faithfulness.

So, I regularly remind myself that our God is the God of covenant. When He makes a promise in scripture, He fully intends to keep it. Reading about His faithfulness throughout scripture soothes my heart and comforts my soul. And this assurance that He is totally dependable gives me the courage to face an uncertain future.

Christian educators, I believe our best days are ahead. Yes, the challenges are many and varied. Yet, as we lean into the faithfulness of God, we can trust that He will help us meet every challenge triumphantly.

Lord, you are forever faithful. We lean into your faithfulness today. Shape us into the kind of people who not only endure hardship but bring a greater measure of your kingdom into our classrooms and even into the school system itself. In the mighty name of Jesus, Amen.
