HONORING 9/11

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:21, NIV

Many years have passed, but the events of September 11, 2001, have not been forgotten. Today, even though it has been two decades, we can come together in prayer so that we may never forget the lives lost, the families affected, and the memory of 9/11. We can ask the Lord how we can honor those who lost their lives and how we can serve those who are still suffering here on earth. We can pray for peace among our neighbors, our nation, and our world. And we can invite His Spirit to be among us!

Dear God, we know that we can’t erase the pain and suffering caused by 9/11. But we know that You are a good God who works all things for the good. Help us to humble ourselves and turn to You in prayer on this 22nd anniversary of 9/11 and all of the days to follow. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
