HIS WORD IS A LIGHT

Prayer: Lord, thank you for the way your Word guides me and is a light in my life. Help me as I seek to walk out the love and grace that your Word describes. Amen

Scripture: Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path. Psalm 119:105 NIV

Sometimes the King James version is just so poetic – Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. Commit this verse to memory so that you can pull it out in times of trouble or when you need a reminder that God is a promise-keeping God. Listen to Amy Grant’s version of this song and it will fill you with a peace that surpasses understanding. While you are walking the halls of your school, hum it to yourself and if you have the gift of meeting with a prayer group, share it with each other. There is great unity and hope in His Word as it breaks through all darkness and guides us in the way He would love for us to go. Don’t forget that you are a light and a lamp for your students each and every day. They are always watching.
