For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning. Psalm 30:5, NIV
There’s nothing like getting a fresh start. We are blessed in education because we get a fresh start each school year: new students, new colleagues, new administrators, new curriculum and standards, etc. What a blessing! But as the year progresses, some of the newness tends to wear off. When we start to feel this way, we can remember that the Lord affords us the opportunity to have a fresh start each day! No matter what has happened, we are renewed each morning. What joy He provides! As Christian educators, let’s make sure we extend that same favor to our students and give them the opportunity to start fresh each day. Our classrooms will be filled with His joy when we model His favor to them!
Father, thank you that You continually give me a fresh start each morning. Help me to better grasp the daily grace You extend toward me as I seek to extend that same grace to my students today.
