FAITHFULNESS

“God is not a man, that He should lie, Nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good?” Numbers 23:19 NKJV

I’m sure we have all experienced someone not doing something that they said they would do. Or, we have given someone our word that we’ll be somewhere or do something and then we don’t do it. We may have forgotten, gotten too busy, or simply decided that we don’t want to do it anymore. This is because we are human.

I’m guilty of all of the above. I have a habit of getting excited and agreeing to do something before checking to see if I can actually fulfill the commitment.

Thankfully, God is not like us. His faithfulness amazes me. God gives His word and always follows through. His word is a promise. He can’t lie. Whatever He has spoken to you or shown you, is a promise.

I want to encourage you today to hold on to every promise or vision He’s given you for your career, family, marriage, etc. He always follows through. He is faithful.

Lord, you are always faithful. There is no one as faithful as You. I’m grateful for that. Help me to be more like you. In Jesus’s name, amen.
