“Whoever believes in Me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” John 7:38, NIV
As the school year draws to a close, your energy might be running low. The lesson plans are wrapping up, students are restless, and you’re likely counting the days until summer. And yet—this is when your presence might matter most.
Jesus speaks of living water flowing from within those who believe—that’s you! Even when you’re tired, the Holy Spirit can still use you to bring encouragement, peace, and clarity to students who are unsure, anxious, or hurting.
You are a stream in a dry place. Think of how rivers refresh a parched land. Your words, your patience, your steady presence in the classroom—these are like cool sips of grace to those around you.
You may not feel like a stream, but the beauty of living water is that it’s not about your own strength. It’s about letting God’s Spirit flow through you. Even small acts—a smile, a moment of listening, a prayer whispered over your classroom—can carry powerful ripples.
Lord, as this school year ends, we are tired—physically, emotionally, mentally. But You promise that living water flows from those who believe in You. Let Your Spirit refresh me, so I can refresh others. Help me be a source of calm, hope, and encouragement in these final days. Let my classroom be a place where Your peace is felt. Amen.
