NEED A GOOD SHEPHERD?

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing. He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Psalm 23:1-3, NIV

As educators, we have to wander around some pretty rocky ground at times. We face days when we are being attacked on every side by spiritual enemies seeking to turn us away from God, the Lover of our Souls. Daily distractions cause us to lose sight of God’s call upon our lives. We find ourselves giving into worry and even engaging in conflict thinking about other people. These are all tricks of the Enemy.

However, Jesus promises us that His yoke is easy and His burden is light (Matthew 11:28-30). He invites us to walk with Him every day and promises to provide everything we need.

Today, I invite you to try walking with Him. And as we head into the summer months, I encourage you to find true rest in Him.

Dear Lord, I declare that I need You as my Good Shepherd. Thank You for refreshing me today. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
