The blameless spend their days under the Lord’s care, and their inheritance will endure forever. Psalm 37:18, NIV
When we are in the middle of a hectic school day, it’s very difficult to think about eternity. I know that I couldn’t even find a moment to make a phone call. It’s just the nature of education. We give it our all, all day long and live a very myopic routine at times.
However, today, I encourage you to pause and think about eternity…
We serve a mighty God Who has placed us in the public schools to minister to our students and colleagues so that they may see Jesus in us. We are called to be His hands and ears and eyes and feet to those around us. As Christian educators, we are under His care and empowered by His love. Our reward is eternity with Him!
Father, thank you for Your promise of eternity with You. Help me to remember that today as I seek to love those You put me in contact with as You empower me with Your extravagant love.

Thanks for this reminder. While the routines of our work mostly support students and learning, there often aren’t many breaks to breathe or remember the bigger picture. We must be intentional about taking time but also get prayed up in the morning before work to establish our trust in Him. I often feel rather alone in this work and am grateful for your encouragement.
