UNLOCKING PEACE

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7, NIV

Do you feel like the pile of tasks to prepare for the first day of school just continues to pile up? Are you already feeling overwhelmed?

If so, God wants to remind you today that prayer is the key to unlocking peace in your life. He wants you to turn your anxious thoughts into prayers. He wants you to surrender control over every situation to Him. He wants to give you peace that surpasses all understanding. He wants to guard your anxious heart and mind.

Dear Father, we give You our anxious hearts today and ask that You give us peace that will guard our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Amen.

  1. This is SUCH a great reminder! Last spring, I had to pack and move my classroom for the 8th time in ten years. Last night, I went back in to face the large stacks of boxes for the first time since walking out in June. The FIRST thing I did when I walked into that room was prayed. A friend shared Psalm 35 with me, and it’s very fitting, asking the Lord to go to battle on our behalf. I will provide the labor, but He will provide exactly the other things that I need.
